ISSUES

The role of a city council member is to represent the people of Corpus Christi,  help shape city policy and ensure those policies are put into action effectively. Council members serve as a bridge between residents and the city government to advocate for their constituents' needs. District members play a dual role. They represent their District and work to ensure they get a fair shake from the city and make sure their concerns are addressed. They also represent the entire city by working on shaping policies, approving budgets and addressing community issues including:

WATER

We need more water. I support the city's desalination plant construction efforts as a crucial step towards secut\ring long-term resources for Corpus Christi. I support ensuring that any selected desalination site minimizes environmental impacts and ensures efficient delivery of water.

I also support other efforts to bring more water to Corpus Christi including groundwater, water recycling and stormwater management to diversify out water sources.

INFRASTRUCTURE

We must focus on improving roads and drainage in the city, and maintain the infrastructure we already have. Maintenance, improvements and repairs are crucial to our quality of life as well as to our fiscal well-being as a city.

PUBLIC SAFETY

I am a strong supporter of the police and fire departments in our city. We must continue to ensure that we have enough officers and firefighters by providing them with the wages and equipment they need and deserve.

Improve Public safety by adding streetlights and crosswalks.

ANIMAL CONTROL

Support Animal Control Services to reduce strays and increase live release rates.
